Can my child ride the Racer Slide?
Check your child’s height. Riders must be at least 120 cm tall, must not exceed the maximum rider weight of 90 kg, and must follow the attendant’s instructions before using the Racer Slide.

120 cm and over — Meets the minimum height requirement to ride the Racer Slide. Riders use a provided slide mat, lying on their stomach and holding the mat handles throughout the ride.

How to ride — Grab a mat, choose your lane and wait for the attendant’s instruction. Lie on your stomach, head first, and hold both mat handles securely as you race to the bottom.

Race your friends & family — The multi-lane design means you can race side-by-side. Choose your lanes and see who can slide the fastest!

Under 120 cm — Children under 120 cm cannot ride the Racer Slide. Please explore our other attractions suitable for their age and height.

Before You Race
A few simple rules will help everyone enjoy a safe and exciting race down the Racer Slide.

Grab a Slide Mat
Mat required for every ride Use only the slide mat provided by Dunsborough Fun Park. Take your mat to the top of the tower and wait for the attendant’s instructions.

Lie Down & Hold On
Ride on your stomach, head first Lie flat on your stomach with your head facing forward and hold both mat handles securely throughout the slide.

Race to the Finish
Challenge your friends & family Choose your lane, wait for the attendant’s signal and race side-by-side to the bottom. See who can slide the fastest!

Racer Slide Safety Rules
For a safe and fun race, please follow the instructions of our attendants and the safety rules posted at the Racer Slide tower.
How to ride
- Minimum rider height is 120 cm.
- Use only the slide mat provided by Dunsborough Fun Park.
- Lie on your stomach, head first, on the mat.
- Hold both mat handles securely throughout the slide.
- Wait for the attendant’s instruction before starting.
- Remain on your mat until you reach the bottom.
- Exit the landing area promptly after stopping.
For a Safe Race
- No running, jumping or diving around the slide or tower.
- No tandem riding — one rider per mat and one rider per lane.
- Do not start until instructed by the attendant.
- Do not stop, stand or attempt to turn around on the slide.
- Never use the Racer Slide while affected by alcohol or drugs.
- Always follow staff instructions.
What to Wear & Bring
- Appropriate swimwear is required.
- Secure long hair before riding.
- No jewellery, watches or other loose items that could cause injury or damage the slide.
- No swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornaments.
- No phones, cameras, food, drinks or loose objects while riding.
Do not ride if…
For your safety, do not ride if you have a medical condition, injury or physical limitation that could be aggravated by the attraction.
- If you are pregnant.
- If you have a neck, back or spinal condition or injury
- If you have a heart condition
- If you have recently undergone surgery or have a current injury
- If you cannot safely lie on the mat and securely hold both handles

- Swimwear with no exposed zips, buckles or metal trims
- A towel and a dry change of clothes

Before you ask us
Is the Racer Slide always open?
The Racer Slide operates when weather and conditions are safe. It may close during storms, lightning, high winds or other unsafe conditions in accordance with safety requirements.
If weather affects park operations, we’ll post any same-day closure updates on our Facebook page before opening.
Do I need to bring a mat?
No. Slide mats are provided by Dunsborough Fun Park and must be used on the Racer Slide.
Please do not bring your own mat. Follow the attendant’s instructions, lie on your stomach head first and hold both mat handles securely while sliding.
How do you ride the Racer Slide?
Grab a provided slide mat, choose your lane and wait for the attendant’s instructions. Lie on your stomach, head first, and hold both mat handles securely as you race to the bottom.
Can I ride with my toddler?
No. The Racer Slide is one rider per mat and one rider per lane. Tandem riding, carrying a child or riding with a child on your lap is not permitted.
All Racer Slide riders must be at least 120 cm tall and must not exceed the 90 kg maximum rider weight.
Adult accompanying a child aged 4 or under belongs to Aquadash, not Racer Slide.
Where can we eat?
Food and drinks are not permitted on the Racer Slide or in the immediate slide operating area.
You’re welcome to enjoy your food at the picnic and seating areas around the park, or purchase food and refreshments from Cozy Corner, CC Coffee or the DFP Ice Creamery.
Is there a height or weight limit?
Yes. Riders must be at least 120 cm tall, and the manufacturer’s maximum recommended rider weight is 90 kg. Staff may check rider eligibility before allowing access to the slide.
