Information we collect
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect your name and contact details; booking and transaction information; participant names and dates of birth; parent or guardian and emergency contact details; waiver signatures and acceptance records; enquiries, feedback and complaints; and incident reports, CCTV footage and authorised photographs or recordings.
We may also collect information you provide about accessibility needs, allergies, injuries or medical conditions where relevant to safe participation, assistance or an incident. Please provide only relevant information and avoid sending unnecessary medical details through general website enquiry forms.
How we collect information
We generally collect information directly from you through bookings, purchases, enquiries, waiver forms and interactions with our team. We may receive relevant information from a parent or guardian, an authorised booking organiser, or a service provider involved in your booking. If you provide another person’s information, ensure you have appropriate authority and make this policy available to them.
You may make general enquiries anonymously where practicable. If necessary booking, waiver or safety information is not supplied, we may be unable to complete a booking, permit participation or provide requested assistance.
Why we use information
We use relevant information to process bookings, payments and refunds; respond to enquiries and requested callbacks; administer entry and waivers; provide assistance; manage safety and emergencies; investigate incidents; handle complaints, insurance matters and legal claims; and meet recordkeeping and legal obligations. We also use contact details for necessary service updates and, with appropriate consent, promotional communications.
Children, health information and waivers
We seek consent to collect health information where required and limit collection to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. An exception may apply where collection or disclosure is permitted by law, including certain emergencies. Children’s information may be provided by a parent or guardian. We take account of the child’s understanding and capacity when obtaining any necessary privacy consent.
Guests complete waivers in our ticketing software at the park using the entrance QR code or a park tablet. Advance online waiver signing is not currently available. The waiver system is presently operated locally rather than cloud-hosted. We use waiver details and acceptance records for entry, participation administration, safety, incidents and related claims.
Accepting a waiver does not itself give permission to use a child’s image or health information for advertising.
Payments and sharing information
We use Square to process payments through our website and app. Square handles payment and related transaction information to process payments, prevent fraud and provide payment services. We use relevant transaction records to manage bookings, receipts, refunds and payment enquiries. Square’s handling of personal information is explained in its Buyer Privacy Notice ↗.
Where reasonably necessary, we may share relevant information with booking, ticketing, waiver, payment, hosting, email and IT service providers; emergency services and health professionals; insurers and professional advisers; authorities where required or authorised by law; and other parties you authorise.
Overseas handlingOverseas handling
Square may process or disclose information outside Australia. Its Buyer Privacy Notice identifies locations including the United States, Canada, Japan, Ireland, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. This describes Square’s possible processing locations, not a claim that every transaction is sent to each country.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for overseas disclosure, we take the required steps. This policy does not ask you to waive privacy protections for overseas handling.
Cookies and website services
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functions. Browser cookie settings do not necessarily prevent all tracking technologies. Third-party websites or services you choose to use have their own privacy practices.
Email updates, marketing and callbacks
We use your contact details to respond to enquiries, return requested calls, manage bookings and provide relevant updates about your visit. We may send promotional emails about park news, events and offers where we have your consent as required by law.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the option in the message or by contacting [email protected]. We will action marketing unsubscribe requests within five working days. Declining marketing does not affect admission or booking. Necessary non-promotional messages about an existing booking or enquiry may still be sent.
CCTV and promotional images
We use CCTV for safety, security and incident investigation. Relevant footage may be shared with police, insurers or advisers where appropriate and lawful. We seek separate permission before using identifiable guest photos or videos for promotion. For children, we seek appropriate consent taking account of their capacity and parent or guardian involvement.
You may decline promotional photography without affecting admission. Contact us to withdraw permission for future promotional use. Material already printed or shared by others may not be fully recoverable.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose and applicable legal, insurance and claims requirements. Waiver validity and record retention are different: expiry of a waiver after 12 months does not necessarily mean its record is deleted then. CCTV and incident-related footage may have different retention requirements.
When information is no longer needed and retention is not legally necessary, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it. If a data breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it and make notifications where required by applicable law.
Access, correction and complaints
Contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding. We consider requests within a reasonable time and explain any refusal where required by law.
For a complaint, tell us what happened and the outcome you seek. We aim to respond within 30 days and explain any delay. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ↗ where the matter falls within its jurisdiction.
